Question by globalsteel7: **************ACT**************?
I took the ACT last April and did good on the reading portion but not so great on the math. I recently took it again. Can you combine scores of different tests to get a better composite score for colleges to look at?

no unless you’re a division 1 or division 2 athlete.
It matter which college you go to. Some schools will take your highest scores from each section, and use those for a “super score”. You still have to send them all your scores, so they see them, but they only consider the highest ones. That’s not all colleges though, some just look at your highest composite score. You could probably find out whether or not the colleges you want to go to do that by looking at their websites, but if you can’t find anything, I would just send all your scores and hope they do.
Yes. Some colleges allow you to take the best subscripts and combine them to form a new composite score. While this may not be true for all colleges, most accept it. I know for sure colleges like Boston College allow it so it’s safe to say that some really good schools will do it. So just becareful that if u want to take it again, do not just bomb the reading part and do good on math. It’s be better to try and get a better composite score vs. subscores bcus most colleges will like to see the improvement the next time u take it.
No you cannot unfortunately. I am in the same position you are. My math was high in April, but I have a feeling that it will be lower this time. I think because they take the higher score; they should take all of the high scores
